ThePermaWeb is owned and directed by Michael Malone who has been developing web sites since 1998. Michael has been self-employed since 1992 and has founded/owned/directed several successful small business from Wilmington to Asheville, NC. He was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida in 1989 where he studied statistics, programming, psychology, anthropology and education affording him a well rounded body of knowledge.
Michael began his web career with a webmaster course presented by the Open Studio Project and co-sponsored by MAIN, Charlottes Web, and the National Endowment for the Arts in 1999. Michael has been creating client websites with open source php/mysql applications since 2000. He now almost exclusively works with css and xhtml layout for web pages providing highly efficient design and excellent content weighting for search engine optimization. Michael has extensive expertise in search engine optimization with ongoing projects containing more than four hundred phrases and co-ordinating the optimization of hundreds of unique pages.
