Creating new Content Elements
For this tutorial, you are still in Page view by clicking "Page" at the top of the far left column in your editing interface, and clicking on the page you want to edit the content of in the pagetree (center column)
The right column then looks something like the illustration below.
Choosing the content type
When you click the "Create new element" button, you will be given an opportunity to choose the type of content you wish to add. For the purpose of this tutorial, please click "Regular text element".
You will then see the same form as in the "Simple Web Content Editing"
tutorial. Fill in the header and text fields with the desired text and click save and close.
Your newly created content element will now appear on the page where you created it.
Removing and Deleting Content from Pages
Now we will remove the reference to the content element we just created, and then delete the content element completely.
In the first step, we will remove the reference to the element using the Trash Can icon in the array of edit buttons.
When you click the trashcan icon as in the image above, a dialogue will popup asking you to confirm the action, click "OK".
The element disappears from the content area, but a tab "Non-used elements" at the top of the page becomes active. Click on the "Non-used elements" tab. The element that you just "Unlinked" will now appear in the "Non-used elements" above the regular content. At this point, you can choose to completely delete the item using the "Trashcan" button, or you could choose to re-link the element using the "Create Reference" button.
Choosing the Create Reference button
Once you have clicked the Create Reference button, the icon changes to a checkmark indicating that it is selected, and a new icon appears in the regular page content area allowing you to place the content in the page again.
